The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is undoubtedly one of my favorite games of all time, so let’s take a look at some of the best music that its soundtrack has to offer. It’s made by the same composer behind Morrowind and Skyrim, so you know you’re in for a good time! I tried to pick a varied selection of themes, and the tracks will be ranked by how much nostalgic impact they have on me today.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is an action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. It is the fourth installment in The Elder Scrolls action fantasy video game series, following The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and preceding The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Oblivion’s main story revolves around the player character’s efforts to thwart a fanatical cult known as the “Mythic Dawn” that plans to open the gates to a realm called “Oblivion”. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

I remember the first time I got into the mages guild and how long it took me to get all the recommendations required to join. I remember the feeling of pride I got when I got the rank of apprentice and getting my first mage robes and constructing my lightning staff and how I felt like Gandalf by he end of it xD ahhh the memories.

You know, I said right from the beginning if Auriel's Ascension wasn't here I'd be sad, but to see it as number one made me very happy, I agree completely with this list 🙂 I'm also glad I'm not the only one who still likes to play oblivion.

  22. Qirin says:

If there was any criticism I'd make is that the battle and dungeon tracks all sounded kinda samey and just weren't as enjoyable to listen to as the town and environmental ones.

While I mostly agree with your list, special mentions go to Dusk at the Market, Harvest Dawn and Wings of Kynareth for also being songs that I revist.

Ah, Oblivion, great choices in my opinion. Your opinions on these subjects are rather agreeable, and that's good.

Do you think that perhaps later on you might branch this off slightly to other games, or are you keeping this exclusively Elder Scrolls?
